There are two skills that law students and layers need to succeed. Gathering information and processing that information. Knowledge of the law and the ability to research legal issues are assumed, as these are the subject of three intense years of law school study.
In the first five posts, the Advocacy Cub Boot Camp covered the essentials of how to gather information. The next posts will present the techniques to process it. We call this ‘Case Analysis’. Lawyers and students will recognize the term, but most will acknowledge that no one ever taught them how to do it.
In the Advocacy Club, we have reduced the essentials of Case Analysis to basic formulae, just as we have for information gathering.
