We have 31 episodes ‘in the can’, to use Hollywood-speak. Our posts have covered most of the basics to get junior litigators ready for the tribunal or courtroom.
Interview Techniques - how to gather information.
Case Analysis Techniques - how to think about that information.
Scenes Techniques - how to process the analyzed information into chunks you can actually use.
Preparation Techniques for Direct Examinations - how to get ready for your first witnesses.
Preparation Techniques for Cross-examinations - how to get ready for their witnesses.
Direct Examinations Techniques - an application of what we learned earlier to the examination of your witnesses.
Lots and lots of techniques, right? Yes, but … It’s that ‘but’ word. But you really want to cross-examine the daylights out of that problem witness. That’s the glory of litigation, or so you believe. Well, I’ve tried really hard to show you that cross is only a small part of the overall skill set you need to succeed.
Still, it’s time to tackle that skill, and starting June 5 at 9:00 a.m. (EST), you can read and listen to the techniques as they roll out. A teaser technique for all subscribers will appear on May 27, so stay tuned!
Some folks prefer to hear the pitch instead of reading it, so here's the short (3 min.) podcast.
